Mira Costa girls volleyball player Taylor Deckert is the Southern California News Group’s High School Girls Athlete of the Week for Aug. 28-Sept. 3 after she received 40.48% of the vote at the deadline Thursday.
St. Lucy’s McKenna Sibley (girls volleyball) finished second with 23.87% of the vote, and Rylee Blade of Corona Santiago (girls cross country) finished third (16.67%).
