Murderer Axel Rudakubana will soon be able to watch television and get more allowance in prison, just months after launching an attack on a guard with boiling water.

The Southport killer, 18, is currently serving a minimum of 52 years in prison for murdering three little girls at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport last year.

He killed Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, Bebe King, six, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and tried to murder eight other children, the class instructor Leanne Lucas, and businessman John Hayes.

In May, he used a kettle to heat water before throwing it over a prison officer, who was rushed to the hospital.

Just three months after the attack, Rudakubana will regain access to £20 a week to spend, more time out of his cell, a DVD player, and a Freeview TV with up to 25 channels to watch at his leisure.

A source told The Sun: ‘They are basically bribing him to behave — by saying we’ll give you a telly and you can keep it if you don’t attack anyone.

‘It makes his life a lot more comfortable and also means he can spend more on phone credit. Rudakubana is cock-a-hoop about the change, but I doubt the officer who had liquid chucked in his face will be.’

Earlier this year, families of the three girls killed in the Southport stabbings recalled their final moments with their little girls in an emotional interview.

The parents of six-year-old Bebe King and Elsie Stancombe, and nine-year-old Alice da Silva Aguiar, spoke about their girls.

Bebe King’s parents, who can’t be named for legal reasons, described their daughter as a hilarious little girl who operated on a ‘high frequency’.

They recalled the touching last moments they shared with Bebe, as they kissed her goodbye, burying her in her pyjamas after reading her a favourite book and having her christened.

Jenni Stancombe, 35, remembered her daughter Elsie as a little girl who was ‘grateful for life’ and incredibly empathetic.

Her parents said the funeral, held in Birkdale, was akin to a ‘state funeral’ with the number of people who showed up.

Alice’s dad, Sergio, ran the London Marathon alongside Elsie’s father this year.

Before the race, he told BBC Breakfast: ‘Twenty-six miles, I’ve never done anything like that before.

‘But for my girl, I would do 26 or 50 – whatever. The pain doesn’t matter, I’m going to do it.’

Mr Aguiar told BBC Breakfast he often speaks to daughter Alice while running alone, telling her to ‘keep going with me’.

‘I tell her we’re going to do this together, you’re going to be with me – always,’ he said.

Mr Stancombe revealed his daughter, Elsie, had suggested he run the marathon in honour of her grandmother last year before her death.

‘A little bit of me was like, ‘Oh yeah, alright Els,’” I just never thought I would be running it for these reasons.’
