El Segundo’s Library Park is turning the page on spring and heading into a musical summer with the return of the city’s Summer Concerts in the Park.
The free shows begin June 15 with sets starting at 4:30 p.m. and ending at 6:30 p.m. on select Sundays through August. Concertgoers can save prime seating spots with blankets starting at 1:00 p.m., and while chairs are allowed, the city says no plastic tarps. Food trucks line up, and kids’ crafts, games and giveaways will be available in the Gazebo at 4:00 p.m.
Here’s the lineup for this season.
June 15 – Get ready to rock out to hit songs from the ’50s to the ’80s with Woodie & the Longboards.
June 29 – Bring out those blue suede shoes and get ready to dance along to Cash, Killer, & The King, who perform rock music from Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Johnny Cash.
July 13 – Start growing that long hair now and try to slip into your old leather pants because Wayward Sons, a tribute band that performs ’80s arena rock music from Journey, Queen, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, and more, will be taking the stage.
July 27 – Bust all sorts of moves with RemiX, an ’80s and ’90s funk, R&B, and new jack swing tribute band.
August 10 – Jazz trumpet player and vocalist Dan Delgado will cover favorites from big band classics to dance hits.
August 24 – Yes, we’re still dreaming of her, and so is Dreaming of You, a Selena tribute band that will have you dancing and reminiscing about the late Tejano legend.
