Suspected members of East Bay burglary/robbery crew hit with 19 felonies

FREMONT — Four Bay Area men have been charged in a 19-felony complaint with crimes related to their alleged participation in a series of home burglaries and robberies that netted hundreds of thousands of dollars in valuables and cash, court records show.

Randy Taylor, 27, of Fairfield, Terrell Mackey, 30, of San Francisco, Armani McFarland, 31, of Antioch, and Dajuan Menifee, 27, of San Francisco, were charged on Nov. 10 with a mix of burglary and robbery counts, almost all involving a series of 2024 incidents that spanned from San Francisco to Sacramento. Mackey, a five-time felon, was also charged with having guns in his possession when police arrested him on Nov. 5, court records show.

The burglaries hit homes all over the Bay Area, primarily the East Bay, and targeted jewelry, cash, and high-end purses, according to court records. The suspects were identified by phone records, fingerprints, and other electronic evidence, and used a stolen Honda for several crimes, according to police.

Among the suspected crimes are a Fremont burglary where $30,000 in jewelry, cash, and purses were stolen, a $12,900 burglary in Pinole, and a $24,000 burglary in San Lorenzo, all within a two-week span starting May 20, 2024. The robberies include a Rolex robbery in San Francisco on June 5, 2024, the holdup of a cannabis courier in Sacramento on July 9, 2024, and a July 29, 2024 hoe invasion robbery in Hayward where the suspects threatened homeowners with a knife and made off with $106,000 in cash and jewelry, according to court records.
