The death of a swimmer who drowned Monday after being pulled from Lake Michigan near 31st Street Beach, has been identified, officials said.
Bryan Nguyen, 23, was reported missing in the water near the boat dock at 31st Street Beach. Crews pulled him from the water about 3:15 p.m., Chicago police said.
Nguyen was taken in critical condition to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 3:46 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. His death was ruled accidental.
