Teen, 19, killed by single stab wound to the chest as three charged with murder & devastated mum pays tribute

A HEARTBROKEN mother has paid tribute to her 19-year-old son who was fatally knifed in the chest – as cops charge three people with murder.

Officers responded to calls from a flat in Lefroy Road, Norwich at 10.40pm on Saturday, September 21.

A murder investigation was launched when they tragically discovered the body of 19-year-old Kalvin Taylor.

A post mortem determined his cause of death was a single stab would to the chest.

It is believed Kalvin’s body lay for eight days before being found.

In a heartbreaking tribute, the teen’s mother said: “It is so devastating what has happened to my son.

“It has left our family in a million pieces which we will never recover from.

“Kalvin was a son, a grandson, a brother, a cousin and a friend to us all.

“We will remember and miss Kalvin all the days of our life. 

“We love you Kalvin, rest in heavenly peace until we meet again.”

Norfolk Police have now charged Leon Bangura, 22, Adam Dugdale, 55, Carrie-Anne Hall, 51, and Matthew Holmes, 51, in connection with Kalvin’s murder.

Leon Bangura, of Old Kent Road, London, has been charged with murder, threatening another person with an offensive weapon, possession of a bladed article, possession with intent to supply, and being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

Dugdale, of Shorncliffe Avenue, Norwich, and Hall, of Lodge Breck, Norwich, have also been charged with murder.

Holmes, of Bowthorpe Road, Norwich, is charged with assisting an offender.

The four remain in custody and are set to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

Meanwhile a teenage boy arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder has been released on police bail.

A spokesperson for Norfolk Police said: “Four people have this evening (Saturday 28 September 2024) been charged in connection with the murder of a 19-year-old man at a flat in Norwich.

“Police were called to a ground floor flat in Lefroy Road on Saturday 21 September at 10.40pm where the body of a teenage man was discovered.

“A murder investigation was launched and a total of five arrests were made in the days following.

“A Home Office post-mortem examination confirmed the man’s death was consistent with a single stab wound to the chest.”
