Teen, 19, killed & SIX injured in horror late-night crash in Cornwall as man, 18, is arrested over ‘dangerous driving’

A 19-year-old man has been killed, and six others injured, in a horror-late night crash – with an 18-year-old arrested for dangerous driving.

The collision, which took place in St Tudy, Cornwall late on Friday night, involved two cars at a crossroads.

The teen was in the front seat of one of the cars – and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Six other people were taken to hospital, but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Devon and Cornwall police say the 18-year-old suspect from Bodmin has been arrested on suspicion of driving while on drink or drugs.

He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The road was closed while officers investigated the scene but was reopened on Saturday.
