A TEEN girl was reportedly grabbed by the neck in a park before her dad fought off the attacker.
The 18-year-old victim was walking with a friend near Valley Park in Crewe, Cheshire, on April 5.
It is alleged she was then punched in the face and suffered a split lip.
Her father and another woman heard screams coming from the area just after 7pm.
They confronted the man who is said to have dragged the teenager by her hair.
He was described as white with a “darker complexion” and having an Eastern European accent.
Police said he was aged in his late 20s to early 30s, around 5 ft10in tall with a slim build and short, thick black-brown hair.
He was wearing a pink t-shirt, black body warmer, black tracksuit trousers with white stripes and white trainers.
The victim’s parent wrote on social media: “My daughter has been out today with her friend.
“Something happened before that and we turned up, and we’re sorry for what happened today.
“She left Valley Park in Crewe with her friend, and they both walked on by themselves alongside the river bank, which leads out towards Walthall Street.
“So, me and the girl’s mum followed them on the pathway over [to] the other side, which took us a bit longer.
“Her dad drove down Walthall Street. When we arrived, we heard very loud screams.
“We all ran down to the field, and my daughter was getting attacked.
“He came from nowhere, grabbed her by the waist and around her neck, and then punched her in the mouth, causing her lip to bleed.
“He ripped her hair out as he was trying to drag her away. Her friend was trying to help.
“He wanted my daughter to go to his place; she was screaming.
“My daughter had to attack him back. The other girl’s mum also helped get him off her; he just wouldn’t let her go.
“I’m absolutely livid with what we witnessed.
“My friend had her arm injured as well, and my daughter’s friend was also hurt absolutely vile.”
A spokesperson for the force said: “We were called following a report of an assault on an 18-year-old woman.
“A man had assaulted her outside Valley Park.
“He was confronted by the woman’s father and a woman who was also assaulted.
“Police made a search of the area for the suspect and are continuing with their enquiries to locate him.”
