The flames, fanned aggressively by the winds, appear to engulf them.
While the fire gets too close for comfort for most people, the men appear calm.
One of them says: ‘This could potentially overtake us here.
‘This has gotten a little scary.’
He then pans the camera inside the cabin, which is bathing in surreal, orange light from the blaze.
‘Holy s***,’ he adds while another man films the outside with his phone.
‘Okay y’all need to hurry up here, we’re encased in flames,’ he says, before appearing to radio other colleagues.
The incident is said to have occurred after the crew detached from the locomotive to rescue a foreman.
Poor visibility caused by the thick smoke then caused the detached unit to smash into its train, sparking further fires, according to reports.
The men eventually escaped on foot, and no one was injured.
