Many restaurant chains will be closed on Thanksgiving, which falls on Thursday, Nov. 28 this year.
But several chains have announced they will be open and serving turkey dinners.
Several of the following chains require reservations and it’s a good idea to make them if you can. Details come from chains’ websites, social media and news releases. Prices may vary by location.
Acapulco Restaurant & Cantina: An all-you-can-eat buffet will be served 11 a.m.-8 p.m. It will feature turkey and ham carving stations, apple-jalapeño stuffing and chipotle-honey sweet potatoes as well as such favorites as green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie. Black Angus Steakhouse: A traditional turkey dinner with pumpkin pie will cost $29.99, $12.99 for childen. Hours will be 11 a.m.-9 p.m. blackangus.com
Black Bear Diner: Roasted turkey with cranberry sauce is on the regular menu. Most diners are independently owned and Thanksgiving hours will vary by location, according to a post on the chain’s Facebook page. blackbeardiner.com
Claim Jumper Steakhouse & Bar: Restaurants will be serving three-course dinners with turkey, ham, tri-tip or all three starting at 11 a.m. Prices are $32-$37. Other choices include prime rib and salmon. claimjumper.com
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store: Dining rooms will open and begin traditional Thanksgiving meals at 11 a.m. The seasonal menu includes turkey and dressing for $11.99 and $16.99 on Thursdays and country-fried turkey through Nov. 27. crackerbarrel.com
Denny’s: A turkey dinner is on the menu through Jan. 7. Also, the diner chain is serving a grilled Turkey Feast Sandwich, made with stuffing and cranberry sauce with a side of gravy. dennys.com
El Torito: The buffet is the same as at Acapulco restaurants with turkey, ham and a mix of traditional and spicy side dishes. Hours are 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Prices are $39.50 for adults and $13.50 for children at most restaurants. Norms Restaurants: Diners will be open serving a roasted turkey dinner with stuffing and cranberry sauce for $14.99.
