Usa today news
On Sunday the Chatsworth Holiday Parade drew a crowd of 7,000, who enjoyed marching bands, equestrian units, dancing, car clubs, color guards, and Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. Based out of Van Nuys Airport, the Condor Squadron flew vintage WWII North American AT-6 airplanes, taking to the skies to recognize the sacrifices and heroism of America’s WWII veterans.
In addition to honoring veterans, the event was a day for families to enjoy a parade and great weather. “For 41 years, community volunteers, business owners and nonprofit Kiwanis Club of Chatsworth have been bringing to the Chatsworth community this fun day,” said Sherri Sigmon Fife, treasurer of the club. The parade’s theme this year was “Rocking Holidays.”
