The watch world can sometimes feel like a dizzying arms race for both your wallet and your collection itself. The challenge lies in keeping up with a vast array of luxury releases at global events like Watches and Wonders as much as it does scouring the market for gone-in-a-flash watch collaborations. Some of those required spending an arm and a leg, and others proved much more accessible in 2025, like the excellent work being done by venerable American watchmaker Timex.
There were assuredly no shortage of compelling watch partnerships across 2025, many of them expertly balancing refined sensibility with a flair for performance and the right blend of both modern and classic timepiece specifications. Some of our favorites are still available at retail, and others might require a deft touch exploring the secondary market. Either way, the glory lies in the attempt at securing one of the coolest watch collaborations of 2025.
Huckberry x Timex 1979 Black Max
For a brief period in the late 1970s, Timex dove deep into the world of racing watches, resulting in a rare yet covetable timepiece dubbed the ‘Black Max,’ later becoming a true collector’s item. Ever masters of unique heritage designs with rugged-meets-refined appeal, the 1970s road-ready watch was the perfect timepiece for Huckberry to help retool in partnership with the iconic American watchmaker. The blacked-out design and racing-inspired dial offered the ideal nod to the era at a wildly affordable price via Huckberry. $249
Breitling x National Football League Chronomat Automatic GMT
Given the fact that the pregame walk to the locker room on an NFL Sunday is something of a fashion runway these days, it makes perfect sense that the sporty, refined performance of a Breitling timepiece would prove a perfect partner for pro football. Ahead of the 2025 season, Breitling became the first-ever luxury watch partner of the NFL, with designs both flashy and more subtle celebrating all 32 teams. The Chronomat Automatic GMT especially fused global travel utility with stylish team colors, part of what Breitling CEO Georges Kern called a “defining moment” for the watchmaker. Pricing starts at $4,600
Timex x Bespoke Post Field Watch
You can count on a legendary watchmaker like Timex to have an archive positively packed with utterly classic timepieces, plenty of which are crafted with real-world history and utility. That certainly holds true for the timepiece the Connecticut-based company worked on with upstart NYC retailers Bespoke Post, masters of the unexpected and remarkably unique.
A ’70s-inspired Timex Viscount watch accordingly provided the perfect inspiration for a modern update, nodding to the past with a 36mm case and a rugged canvas strap and military-inspired dial. At a shade under $200, this timepiece was a downright steal, so feel free to scour the secondary market for your own shot at affordable heritage. $199
Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch 1965
Since its spring 2022 launch, a fast-selling revelation that enthralled both watch enthusiasts and more casual newcomers, there’s been no shortage of sheer delights in the Omega x Swatch partnership. With nearly 40 models to choose from (some of which can now be found via the Internet, instead of waiting in line at a packed retail outlet), the pairing has proven an utterly smashing success.
And given Omega’s real-world heritage traversing space, the Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch 1965 is a highly fitting and extremely affordable spin on a historic classic. Timeless Omega touches co-exist handsomely with Swatch branding and a lightweight bioceramic case, the latest chapter in a wildly fruitful (if unexpected) pairing. Todd Snyder x UNIMATIC Modello Quattro U4 GMT Watch
Todd Snyder and Italian watchmaker UNIMATIC teamed up not once, but twice this year, kicking off a partnership that fuses minimal performance timekeeping with the designer’s modern-meets-classic ethos. The Todd Snyder x UNIMATIC Modello Tre U3FB-TS delivered a classic two-dial chronograph look, but it’s the Modello Quattro U4 GMT Watch and its clean, refined design that offered dressy, versatile appeal in an easily wearable 40mm package. $998
NORQAIN x Stan Wawrinka ‘Stan The Man’ Wild One Skeleton Watch
Released just ahead of this year’s U.S. Open, NORQAIN doubled down on its sporting roots by teaming up with Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka (known, of course, as ‘Stan The Man’). With co-founder Mark Streit’s NHL roots, a partnership with another world-class athlete had been in the cards for some time, but the NORQAIN x Stan The Man Wild One pushes the boundaries for the ultra-lightweight, skeletonized sport watch by using real tennis ball fibers in its integrated rubber strap. The results sold out quicker than a Wawrinka serve, but you might have luck tracking one down on the secondary market. $7,150
