The impossible gets a little more within reach as a new program blends the best of both luxury accommodations and adventure, as COMO Hotels debuts its latest set of jaw-dropping experiences through COMO Journeys.
Five new experiences join a global slate of utterly one-of-kind travel pursuits through COMO Hotels and Resorts. Part of the COMO Group helmed by Christina Ong, the Singapore company was founded with a focus on wellness alongside luxurious hotel design, award-winning cuisine and of course, bespoke adventures globally.
Select trips start, which include a vast array of activities, from cycling to snorkeling, start as soon as the end of August and run through December. The slate of iconic destinations includes Bordeaux, France, where guests will take part in a zero-gravity flight created in collaboration with Novespace (prices start at about $14,000 for one guest), as well as adventures across the South Pacific and the Italian Dolomites. The curated series serves up “one-of-a-kind experiences that enable guests to discover extraordinary destinations under the guidance of leading experts,” the company noted.
Wellness is certainly at the forefront of new COMO Journeys offerings, including an ocean-focused photography experience led by award-winning British photographer Matt Porteous and set in the stunning Maldives (room rates for a water villa start at about $975 a night).
In Tuscany, a four-day COMO journey dives into “cycling and stillness,” featuring rides through Chianti across olive groves and vineyards, with rates starting at about $4,000 per person. The experience includes a hefty dose of Italian cuisine and culture alongside a customized bike fitting and a series of full-day rides through the likes of the UNESCO World Heritage town of San Gimignano.
A wintersports December itinerary at the COMO Alpina Dolomites (priced around $11,000 for two participants) centers around the FIS World Cup and includes a ski session on the Sellaronda circuit led by champion U.S. skier Travis Ganong, complete with impressive VIP access to the Super G races. As if those perks weren’t plentiful enough already, guests have the option to partake in “an evening of relaxation and dining, or tobogganing under the stars,” COMO Hotels and Resorts noted.
