In what some call the most rustic and rugged park in the City of Los Angeles, the three-acre Chatsworth Oaks Park has re-opened with a new playground and a refreshed look including landscaping and park pathway improvements.
Los Angeles City Councilmember John Lee noted in his Council District 12 Community Update, “Chatsworth Oaks Park has never looked better. With a new playground and recent upgrades, it’s the perfect place to gather, play, and enjoy the outdoors.” The project also includes the installation of a hydration station.

Located at 9301 Valley Circle Boulevard, the park is used for outdoor weddings, hiking and picnics. It’s known for its views and surrounding hillsides filled with nature. Dogs are welcome but they have to be kept on a leash.
The improvements were funded with $770,000 from Los Angeles County’s Measure A for city parks, known as the Safe, Clean Neighborhood Parks and Beaches Measure, passed by voters in 2016 for maintenance and improvement of city parks, open spaces and beaches throughout the county.
