SAN JOSE – Crews on Tuesday afternoon were battling a tier 3-brush fire in East San Jose, fire officials said.
The blaze, dubbed the Ranch Fire, was reported just after 4 p.m. in the 3500 block of Ranch Place, near Cataldi Park, according to the San Jose Fire Department and Cal Fire.
As of 4:47 p.m., the fire had charred 10 acres and was 0% contained.
Cal Fire air support is en route to the blaze.
Time-lapse footage posted by the fire department showed a plume of smoke rising above the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
