Great – now it’s time to find a country to move to and ultimately retire. Here to help is Global Citizen Solutions, a company that helps people relocate abroad. Using metrics like quality of life, safety, taxes and ease of the citizenship process, it has come up with a 2025 report that ranks countries with retirement-visa programs. (Note that many of these countries require proof of steady passive income.)

“In an era of unprecedented mobility, retirement is no longer defined by national borders — it has become an international journey,” the report states. “The pursuit of a fulfilling, secure and globally connected retirement is shaping new trends in migration and redefining what it means to age with dignity, purpose and opportunity.”

Perhaps not surprisingly, the U.S. does not make the list. But here are nations that scored high across all metrics.
