Trains collide head-on in Denmark leaving four people fighting for life

Four people are in a critical condition after two trains collided head-on in Demark.

At least 17 people are injured after the two local trains crashed 25 miles (40km) north of Copenhagen.

Pictures from the scene show two yellow and grey trains smashed up on the a track the ‌towns of Hillerod and ‌Kagerup.

The collision prompted a massive emergency response and has been called a major incident by police.

A spokesperson for the rescue services said: ‘There are injuries among the passengers. Everyone is out of the trains, so no one is trapped… Large resources ‌have been dispatched to the scene.’

The injured have been transported away from the scene in ambulances and hospitals, the fire department said.
