A MAJOR motorway has been closed and a woman was rushed to hospital after a horror fireball crash involving two cars.
The crash occurred on the M2 heading coastbound between Junction 2 for Strood and Rochester to Junction 3 for Chatham.

Kent Police confirmed two cars collided and a woman was taken to hospital.
Her current condition and the extent of her injuries is yet to be confirmed.
The incident occurred shortly after 4.12pm and has caused major delays.
Images from the scene show one charred vehicle badly damaged after the fire.
Motorists are reporting stationary traffic with waits of more than an hour.
Emergency services including cops are still in attendance with the M2 brought to a standstill during rush hour.
National Highways Traffic Officers are also on scene assisting with traffic management.

Queues are now impacting roads in Strood and the surrounding Medway area.
A police spokesman said: “Police were called at 4.12pm on April 16, following a collision involving two cars on the coastbound M2, between junctions 2 and 3.
“Officers are at the scene, along with fire and ambulance crews and a woman has been taken to hospital.
“The coastbound carriageway is currently closed.”
National Highways advises drivers to use the following route to avoid traffic on the M2 eastbound tonight:
- Exit the M2 at J1 and enter the A289 headed eastbound.
- Remain on the A289 negotiating the roundabout at Four Elms, the Medway Tunnel, Lower Gillingham, Yokosuku way and Ito Way before meeting the roundabout junction with the A2.
- Take the A2 headed eastbound and travel to the roundabout with the A278.
- Take the A278 headed southbound to re-join the M2 at J4.
Temporary road signs with the Solid Circle diversion symbol will be in place.
