Emergency services found the “funny and kind” teen with life threating injuries.

He tragically died a short while later despite the best efforts of paramedics.

A GoFundMe, hoping to raise £2,000, has been set up by A Common Bond – an NGO that supports families failed by children’s services.

The independent organisation was started by Reuben’s mother Sarah.

A Common Bond spokesperson told BirminghamLive: “Reuben was polite, funny, very kind, an amazing brother and son.

“Him and his mother were the best of friends. He was everything she could wish for and more.”

The GoFundMe message reads: “We are an organisation founded by Reuben’s mum, we know she spends her time working to support others and we would like to offer that support back to help with time off work her other children and towards funeral costs.

“Please help us to support her after such a tragic loss.”

West Midlands Police confirmed a 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

He has since been bailed.

Pictures from the scene revealed forensics and officers combing the area.

A blue tent was erected outside a vape shop and the are remained cordoned off until Wednesday.

Superintendent Wayne Carter, of Solihull Police, said: “We know people will understandably be concerned and we will be in the area conducting inquiries throughout the day.

“We will have extra officers in the area over the coming days and I would encourage anyone with any information, or concerns, to get in touch.

“Our thoughts remain firmly with the victim’s family and loved ones at this truly tragic time.”

Anyone with information should call 101 and quote log 4239 29/10/24.
