President Donald Trump blasted Iran’s ‘so-called’ supreme leader and said the country has no hope and will only see things get worse.
Trump unleashed on Ayatollah Ali Khamenei a day after the leader shared a defiant video message declaring victory over Israel and saying that Iran dealt the US a ‘slap in the face’.
‘Why would the so-called “Supreme Leader,” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, of the war torn Country of Iran, say so blatantly and foolishly that he won the War with Israel, when he knows his statement is a lie, it is not so,’ wrote Trump on his Truth Social platform on Friday afternoon.
‘As a man of great faith, he is not supposed to lie.’

Trump added that he knew ‘EXACTLY’ where Khamenei was sheltered and that he did not let Israel or the US Armed Forces kill him.
‘I SAVED HIM FROM A VERY UGLY AND IGNOMINIOUS DEATH, and he does not have to say, “THANK YOU, PRESIDENT TRUMP!” Trump continued.
‘In fact, in the final act of the War, I demanded that Israel bring back a very large group of planes, which were heading directly to Tehran, looking for a big day, perhaps the final knockout!’
The US president demanded that Iran ‘get bak into the World Order flow’, or face a worse predicament.
‘They are always so angry, hostile, and unhappy, and look at what it has gotten them – A burned out, blown up Country, with no future, a decimated Military, a horrible Economy, and DEATH all around them,’ Trump said.
‘They have no hope, and it will only get worse.’
Trump added that he was looking over the past few days to possibly remove sanctions that are ‘BITING’, and give Iran a chance to move towards a quick and full recovery.
‘But no, instead I get hit with a statement of anger, hatred, and disgust, and immediately dropped all work on sanction relief, and more,’ he said.
Trump concluded: ‘I wish the leadership of Iran would realize that you often get more with HONEY than you do with VINEGAR. PEACE!!!’
Khamenei in his televised speech said that said that US airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear sites had ‘no major effect’ and accused Trump of overstating the damage.
‘They could not do anything, they could not achieve their goal, and they are exaggerating to cover up the truth,’ said the supreme leader.
Trump had announced that the US would meet with Iran next week, and has repeatedly called for Tehran to return to the negotiating table.
