Two women were shot during a robbery in a South Shore apartment early Thursday, Chicago police said.
A 37-year-old woman and a 29-year-old woman were in the apartment with a man they know just after midnight in the 7100 block of South Jeffery Boulevard. The man pulled out a gun and demanded their property, police said. He then shot the two women before fleeing.
The 29-year-old was shot in the neck and pronounced dead at University of Chicago Medical Center. The 37-year-old was shot in the forearm and is in good condition at University of Chicago.
No arrests have been made, police said.
