Halloween Horror Nights fans will climb aboard the Crazy Train for a wild ride into the dark, disturbing and surreal world of Ozzy Osbourne in a pair of haunted houses that travel through the late heavy metal legend’s outrageous and eccentric musical career.
The new Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness haunted houses inspired by the rock n’ roll singer’s solo career will be part of the Halloween Horror Nights events at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando.

The Osbourne family collaborated with Universal on the two separate and unique haunted houses paying tribute to the two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee.
“Ozzy never stopped pushing boundaries and he loved anything that gave fans a new way to experience his music and the worlds he created,” according to an Osbourne family statement. “Walking through these haunted houses, you’ll recognize so many moments inspired by his music and imagination.”

The heavy metal pioneer and co-founder of Black Sabbath started a solo career in the 1980s that featured a series of multi-platinum albums.
The Horror Nights haunted houses will draw music from six of Osbourne’s solo albums: “Blizzard of Ozz” (1980), “Diary of a Madman” (1981), “Bark at the Moon” (1983), “No More Tears” (1991), “Scream” (2010) and “Ordinary Man” (2020).

His biggest solo hits include “Crazy Train” (1980), “Mr. Crowley” (1980), “Shot in the Dark” (1986) and “Mama, I’m Coming Home” (1991).
The Prince of Darkness haunted house at Universal Studios Hollywood will start in Osborne’s hometown of Birmingham, England. “Crazy Train” will guide visitors through Osbourne’s early childhood before arriving at the Osbourne Asylum inspired by his “Diary of a Madman” album. The nontraditional memorial to Osbourne’s career was developed as a living horror movie through the lens of Halloween Horror Nights.

Visitors to the Universal Orlando haunted house will board the “Crazy Train” for a twisted and horrific ride inspired by the “Diary of a Madman,” “Bark at the Moon,” “Ultimate Sin” and “Black Rain” album covers.
“Ozzy Osbourne didn’t just help define heavy metal,” Halloween Horror Night Executive Producer John Murdy said in a statement. “He created a cultural phenomenon that has influenced generations of music, art and horror.”

This isn’t the first time Ozzy and Horror Nights have teamed up on a haunted maze.
Universal Studios Hollywood created the Black Sabbath: 13 3D maze in 2013 for Halloween Horror Nights. Osbourne and Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler toured the maze on opening night.
Ozzy Osbourne died in July 2025, less than three weeks after his Back to the Beginning farewell concert in Birmingham.
Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness becomes the sixth haunted house to join the Horror Nights 2026 lineup at Universal Studios Hollywood that already includes mazes based on Stranger Things, Sinners, Evil Dead and Hellraiser along with an original creation called Dead Deader Deadest.
The Universal Orlando lineup includes five haunted houses based on Stranger Things, Sinners, Evil Dead Burn, Hellraiser and the Ozzy Osbourne tribute. Five more Horror Nights haunted houses in Florida will be based on original backstories: Jack & Oddfellow, H.R. Bloodengutz, Madlands, Cybergoria and Invasion: Alien Abduction.

Halloween Horror Nights will run on 42 select nights at Universal Studios Hollywood from Sept. 3 through Nov. 1.
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando will run for 48 select nights from Aug. 28 through Nov. 1.
