Update: Heat advisory in place for Los Angeles County until Saturday night

Los Angeles County is the focus of an updated heat advisory released at 9:15 a.m. on Friday by the National Weather Service. The advisory is valid from 10 a.m. until Saturday, May. 10 at 9 p.m.

According to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA, “Temperatures up to 98 degrees expected.”

“There is a high risk for heat illness for sensitive populations including the very young, the very old, those without air conditioning, and those active outdoors,” according to the NWS.
