Valley College students are gleeful at their 2025 graduation

Los Angeles Valley College, widely known as Valley College, was founded in 1949 in Valley Glen, and today this public two-year college offers a wide range of classes that school officials say prepare their students when they head to four-year colleges and universities, or “in-demand occupation careers.”

Their graduation day on June 10 honored 1,600 happy students who received their diplomas as families and friends crowded into the bleachers and cheered out the names of their graduates. Valley College is a “Hispanic-serving institution,” according to its officials, and its huge campus covers 105 acres, much of it filled with trees, which earned the college the honor of “Tree Campus USA.”

The campus serves the eastern region of the San Fernando Valley, including Valley Glen, Valley Village, Van Nuys, Tarzana, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Panorama City, Pacoima, North Hollywood, Encino and Burbank.
