One of three alleged vandals who spray painted and broke a window of a Lincoln Park bank early Friday is in custody.
Around 12:15 a.m., officers on patrol in the 2000 block of North Halsted Street were waved down by witnesses who told them three people had vandalized a bank, Chicago police said.
Police spotted a broken window and words spray-painted on the bank.
It was not clear what the words said.
As the trio ran away, officers were able to take one of them, a 56-year-old man, into custody. He was also taken by paramedics to Illinois Masonic hospital for observation in good condition.
No charges have been announced, and Area 3 detectives are investigating.
