Viral images circulating online that appear to show Sean “Diddy” Combs in prison with fellow inmates were generated using AI, according to his rep.
One selfie circulating on social media shows the disgraced mogul smiling and hugging an inmate, while another photo shows him posing for a shot with what appears to be a cup of instant ramen noodles in hand and a bottle of baby oil on a table behind him.
While many of the photos featured a TMZ watermark, the outlet has clarified that while they have released real images of Diddy at the Fort Dix federal prison, these specific photos are not theirs.
The Bad Boy founder’s rep, Juda Engelmayer, released a statement to TMZ addressing the doctored photos saying, “These images are not real. They are A.I. fabrications.”
He continued, “Sean has always treated people with kindness and respect, but it’s disconcerting how often manipulated or A.I.-generated images are being pushed into the conversation while he is in a federal facility. Nothing in these doctored photos reflects reality.”
This comes days before the release of Netflix’ four-part documentary “Sean Combs: The Reckoning” from executive producer 50 Cent.
The doc will feature “intimate footage, shot with Combs’ knowledge, in the six days leading up to his arrest and indictment,” according to the series’ official synopsis.
Diddy is now serving a 50-month sentence at Fort Dix in New Jersey after his trial ended with a split verdict over the summer. He is scheduled for release in 2028.
“Sean Combs: The Reckoning” will stream on Netflix on Dec. 2.
