Each year marching bands from across the county and around the globe partake in the annual Pasadena Rose Parade on New Year’s Day.
This year’s lineup featured:
- the Allen Eagle Escadrille from Allen, Texas;
- the Arcadia Apache Marching Band and Color Guard from Arcadia, California;
- the Bands of America Honor Band from Indianapolis, Indiana;
- the Delfines Marching Band from Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico;
- the Franklin High School Marching Band from Franklin, Tennessee;
- the Greendale High School Marching Band from Greendale, Wisconsin;
- the Homewood Patriot Band from Homewood, Alabama;
- the LAUSD All District HIgh School Honor Band from Los Angeles, California;
- the Magnificent Marching Machine (M3) from Baltimore, Maryland;
- the Minō Jiyū Gakuen “Golden Bears” Green Band from Toyonaka, Osaka, Japan;
- the Pasadena City College Herald Trumpets and the Pasadena City College Tournament of Roses Honor Band from Pasadena, California;
- the Band of Directors Marching Band from Pickerington, Ohio;
- the Pride of Clover Marching Band from Clover, South Carolina;
- the Salvation Army Tournament of Roses Band from Maryland and Virginia;
- the Sound of Brownsburg from Brownsburg, Indiana;
- the United States Marine Corps West Coast Composite Band from Camp Pendleton, California;
- the University of Alabama Million Dollar Band from Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and
- the Indiana University Marching Hundred from Bloomington, Indiana.
One of the most exciting moments for viewers is watching the unique way each of the marching bands make the iconic “TV corner turn” from Orange Grove Blvd. onto Colorado Blvd.
For the 2025 Rose Parade last year, the 605 All-Star Band practiced the turn in Norwalk with its 500 member band. To complete the turn requires perfect timing for each line of the band. The person on the outside of the line takes the largest strides and each person to their right takes progressively smaller steps.

By the time each band members finish the TV corner turn, the outside band members will have covered roughly five times the distance than the inside band members.
Some groups also add a little flare to the turn, like the Toho Marching Band did during the 2024 Rose Parade.
