Wind advisory issued for 5 Freeway corridor near Santa Clarita for Monday and Tuesday – wind gusts reaching 45 mph

At 6:10 p.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory valid from Monday 9 p.m. until Tuesday June 9, at 10 a.m. for 5 Freeway corridor near Santa Clarita.

The NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA informs, “Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS said. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
