Police are looking for a maroon-colored vehicle that left the scene after hitting a 45-year-old pedestrian Monday night in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.
The woman suffered head injuries and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition, police said.
She was walking north in the 3100 block of West Franklin Boulevard just before 8 p.m. when she was struck by a a maroon-colored vehicle going east on Franklin, Chicago police said.
The Major Accidents Investigations Unit was looking into the incident.
