Zach Bryan slaps back against fake, $1,000 Red Rocks tickets

Country star Zach Bryan is encouraging fans to send him screenshots and messages that offer fake tickets to his Sunday, Aug. 10, concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Why? Because they’re not even on sale yet, and any listings or email appeals for them — some more than $1,000 per ticket — are completely fraudulent, he said on Instagram.

“Keep gettin’ stuff like this,” Bryan wrote on Instagram in response to fans who complained of the fakery and wondered if they should start buying now. “The tickets are not for sale. They go on sale the day of the show. The people selected for the tickets will be able to purchase them — day of — to limit the pieces of sh*t who resell them. … God speed, n I can’t wait to see everyone there, it’s gonna be awesome. Leave me outta this.”

The show, which was announced on June 9, is meant to be a thank-you to loyal fans, with legitimate tickets being sold for no more than $50 a pop, Bryan said. The fact that fraudulent ones are going for 20 times that price means scammers are desperate for any way to make money off unsuspecting buyers who didn’t get waitlisted for the morning-of sale.

“After the Fair AXS registration period concludes on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 5 p.m. MST, AXS will work to ensure any suspicious, fraudulent, and/or duplicated registrations are removed,” the promoter wrote. “Fans who are randomly selected to purchase tickets will be notified via email … Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis and an invitation email for the chance to purchase tickets does not guarantee tickets will be available. Limit 2 tickets per order.”

The whack-a-mole of fake tickets continues because scammers are always looking for new angles, according to industry experts. Sites such as Etsy even offer fake Zach Bryan tickets for supposedly commemorative and decorative purposes, with “editable dates” and designs that copy actual tickets sold by sellers such as Ticketmaster, Live Nation and AXS. Official tickets for the Aug. 10 Red Rocks date are only being sold by AXS, according to the ticketing company.

Artists such as Bryan and fellow country star Luke Bryan (no relation) have experimented with ways to combat scammers by selling tickets that cannot be resold or transferred to another buyer for more than their face value.

Zach Bryan’s Red Rocks show is one of the few not hosted at a stadium; he previously played Empower Field at Mile High on June 14, along with other massive, sold-out venues.
