Aaron Glenn Delivers Fiery Message After Jets Win Over Falcons

The New York Jets beat the Atlanta Falcons 27-24 with a last-second field goal.

Following the team’s victory, head coach Aaron Glenn had a fiery response to the haters of the green and white.

“Man, it was good to see it go in. For those guys to gut this win out and to get this win. It’s more to me than just the win that I’m looking at. I look at these guys [who] never quit, and they get bashed. Everybody on this team gets bashed for everything, and it’s okay because we know exactly what we are trying to do. We are going to continue to block out all the noise and keep our focus straight ahead and our vision of what we got and what we are trying to build as a team,” Coach Glenn explained on Sunday, November 30.

The Jets Are Clearly Building Something Here With HC Aaron Glenn

NFL Insider Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated posted, “Jets have now won three of their last five games after an 0-7 start, and hung in there against the Patriots and Ravens in the losses. Aaron Glenn’s program [is] starting to make some headway.”

It appears the team is buying what Coach Glenn is saying.

In Week 13, the Jets got help from a lot of different areas to pull off the upset win over the Falcons.

One of the straws that has stirred the drink for the Jets this year is running back Breece Hall. The game plan has often been built around him. However, there was a unique twist to this week’s plan.

Hall explained to Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic that he felt like a “decoy” on the offense today.

“I knew we were going to air it out today because they were hanging their hat on stopping the run game. So I was playing decoy, watching everybody else. So I was like — hopefully we win,” Hall said via Rosenblatt after the game.

Hall finished the game with 19 rushing attempts for 68 rushing yards. He averaged 3.6 rushing yards per carry and scored one touchdown on the ground.

Through the air, the former Iowa State product caught two receptions for eight receiving yards.

The Defense Still Has Major Flaws

Gang Green’s defense did its best impression of Swiss cheese against the Falcons.

Superstar running back Bijan Robinson ran wild all day long. He toted the rock 23 times for 142 rushing yards. He averaged 6.2 rushing yards per carry and scored a touchdown on the ground.

In the passing game, Robinson added five receptions for 51 receiving yards. Robinson averaged 10.2 yards per catch.

Despite those video game numbers, the Jets deployed a bend but don’t break defense. They did just enough in the right situations to hold on for dear life to secure their third victory of the season.

The Jets won the battle, but the war is still to be determined. Is Steve Wilks the right guy to be the defensive coordinator in 2026? That question remains at large for the Jets heading into Week 14 and beyond.
