The New York Jets are coming off a brutal 29-6 loss against the New Orleans Saints, who are now 5-10 on the regular season. Even though the Jets were completely outmatched by a team with only four wins entering the game, head coach Aaron Glenn maintained a positive perspective after his team fell to 3â12 on the season.
When talking about his playersâ performances on Sunday, Glenn said, âI thought they went out there and they fought hard. They did everything they could to keep us in this gameâ (SNYJets on X).
On Monday, Glenn spoke with reporters and delivered a message to fans, asking for patience.
According to Rich Cimini of ESPN, Glenn said, âFor the fans, listen, itâs going to be a tough road. We knew that, but, man, the thing is, we know exactly what weâre doing. We have a plan. Just donât let go of the rope, I would say that.â
The Jets fanbase, which has been more than patient in its wait to see a winning team, is enduring a 15 season playoff drought, the longest active drought among teams in the four major North American sports leagues including the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL.
If the Jets are able to hit on their draft picks in 2026 and 2027, where they hold significant draft capital, and find a long term solution at quarterback, patience could finally pay off for Gang Greenâs fans.

The Jets Have Been Brutally Outmatched Recently
New Yorkâs season hasnât been one to remember, with a 3-12 record, but even more concerning than the record has been the teamâs inability to stay competitive, getting blown out by at least 23 points in each of their last three games.
To be more specific, the Jets have been outscored by a combined total of 75 points over their last three games.
“The Jets have dropped three in a row by a combined score of 111-36,” wrote Cimini.
The team, both offensively and defensively has struggled mightily in the home-stretch of the regular season.
“The offense has produced only two touchdowns in the past three games, and the defense set a futility mark Sunday, becoming the first in NFL history to go 15 straight games without an interception,” wrote Cimini.

A Positive Angle
There are players in the locker room who trust Glennâs vision for the Jets to become a winning football team.
“I believe in AG, I believe in his plan,” cornerback Brandon Stephens said Monday. “I believe he’s looking for guys that want to be part of this change,” wrote Cimini.
Glenn has emphasized the importance of his team playing hard despite their poor record, and that wonât be any different heading into Sundayâs matchup against division rival New England Patriots.
According to Cimini, Glenn said, âWe plan on going out there and winning the game also, all right? We do. We want to go out there and put on a good show for our fans. We know it’s our last home game. We look forward to it.â
