Jason Cundy has declared that Leeds United ‘belong’ in League One despite their stunning 3-1 Premier League win over rivals Chelsea.
Jaka Bijol, Ao Tanaka and Dominic Calvert-Lewin all scored as Leeds picked up three points against the Blues at Elland Road on Wednesday.
Leeds’ shock victory has seen them move out of the Premier League relegation zone, with Daniel Farke’s side now 17th on 14 points.
Chelsea were favourites to win the match and the loss is a serious blow to their top-flight title hopes, with the Blues now nine points behind Arsenal.
The result has irked former Chelsea centre-back Cundy, who unleashed an angry rant on talkSPORT following the game.

The Chelsea TV presenter has claimed that Leeds – who were promoted to the Premier League last season as winners of the Championship – should be playing in League One, two levels below the top-flight.
‘I hope Leeds get relegated to where they belong’
‘Leeds weren’t even that great, we were absolutely terrible,’ Cundy said. ‘I have watched Leeds this season, they have been good [in other games].
‘They were good against Spurs first half, against Aston Villa first half, but not tonight. They just put three at the back, they didn’t press us.
‘I heard Daniel Farke’s interview by the way, what is he talking about three great goals, did he not see the third goal? He’s a man on borrowed time.
‘You know what, I hope Leeds get relegated and get relegated again, back to where they belong in League One.’
In Leeds’ 106-year history, the club have only spent three seasons in the third tier of English football.
Leeds were relegated to League One in the 2006-07 campaign before promotion in 2010 saw them return to the Championship.
The Whites have spent a total of 42 seasons in the second tier of English football and 54 seasons in the top-flight.
Meanwhile, despite Chelsea being based in west London and Leeds being located in Yorkshire, the two teams have been rivals since the 1960s.
Chelsea defeated Leeds in the 1967 FA Cup semi-final in controversial circumstances, which started off the ill feeling between the clubs.
The 1970 FA Cup final between the two sides is regarded by some to be one of the most physical games in the history of English football.
Leeds vs Chelsea was historically viewed as a ‘north vs south’ battle and there were numerous violent encounters between the two sets of fans in the 1970s and 1980s.
