Anthony Joshua made it clear after his KO victory against Jake Paul who he wants to fight next.
After Joshua stopped Paul in the sixth round, he called out former unified heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in the ring.
“If Tyson Fury is as serious as he thinks he is, and he wants to put down his Twitter fingers and put on some gloves and come and fight one of the realest fighters out there that will take on any challenge, step into the ring with me next if you’re a real bad boy,” Joshua said.
Joshua and Fury have a history of going back and forth, while nearly signing a contract to fight on multiple occasions.
“He’s 37 years old, fighting a YouTuber who Tommy (Fury) beat,” Fury said before the fight. “If I ever come across you, bum, I’m knocking you dead spark out. You’re a classless loser. Big bum, useless dosser.”
In May 2021, Fury and Joshua had a signed contract to fight, before former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder won a legal battle where an arbitrator ruled he was entitled to a third fight against Fury.
Fury last fought in December 2024, when he lost a unanimous decision to Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight championship. It was his second consecutive loss to Usyk.

Ring Magazine revealed that Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will headline a Riyadh Season event in 2026.
Both fighters will take separate bouts beforehand to set up their megafight.
The fight between the two is not technically signed yet, but all signs point to the two Englishmen jumping in the squared circle.
Fury, who announced his retirement in January following his loss to Oleksandr Usyk, seems to be willing to come out of retirement if it means a fight with Joshua.
The fight, which is arguably boxing’s most well-known “if” bout, could come to fruition. Despite years of rumors and talk, two of the UK’s most famous fighters in history are set on a crash course.
Anthony Joshua Dominates Jake Paul
GettyAnthony Joshua dominated Jake Paul, stopping him in the sixth round.
Anthony Joshua came into the fight as a massive -1200 favorite, and closed the fight in a fashion that most fans expected.
Jake Paul spent the earlier rounds moving around the ring, borderline running away at times, before Joshua finally put Paul on the canvas in round five.
In round six, a right hand sent Paul down for good, breaking his jaw and sending him to the hospital.
Despite the one-sided fight, Paul lasted longer than most boxing experts expected, even landing a couple of right hands cleanly on AJ.
Joshua, who was coming off a 15-month layoff, gave his props to Paul in the ring after the fight.
“As we saw tonight, Jake has spirit. He has some heart,” Joshua said. “He tried his best and I take my hat off to him because, number one, a lot of fighters haven’t got in the ring with me and Jake did. And secondly, even when he got knocked down, he kept on trying to get up and I take my hat off to him.”
