Borussia Dortmund have refused to rule out the possibility that Jamie Gittens could leave this summer amid rumours linking the winger with a move to the Premier League.
Gittens left Manchester City to join Dortmund in 2022 and has gone on to establish himself as one of the most promising young attackers in German football over the last three seasons.
Serhou Guirassy (21) is the only Dortmund player to outscore Gittens (8) in the Bundesliga this term. The 20-year-old has also chipped in with three assists in the top flight.
However, reports emanating out of Germany last month claimed Gittens is keen to move on from BVB after losing his place in Nico Kovac’s starting XI in the second half of the campaign.
The England Under-21 international has grown increasingly frustrated with his peripheral role and is said to be ‘planning his next career move’, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all credited with a strong interest.

Dortmund were not prepared to lose Gittens for anything less than €100 million (£84m) in January, but the club are willing to ‘significantly lower’ their demands for the forward in the upcoming transfer window.
‘There’s definitely a market for him. He’s a very exciting player,’ Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl told Sport1’s Doppelpass show on Sunday.
‘We’ll be having discussions soon. If offers come in, we’ll have to deal with them.’
The likes of Giovanni Reyna, Niklas Sule, Salih Ozcan, and Julian Brandt also face uncertain futures at Dortmund – and Kehl is anticipating a busy summer.
‘We want to reduce wages,’ he added.
‘That said, it’s possible that we will continue with some of these players.
‘But some may no longer be part of the BVB squad next season.’
Gittens came through Reading’s academy as a youngster, before joining Manchester City at Under-14 level
But the winger did not play a single minute for City’s first-team and joined Dortmund aged 16 having watched Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham both enjoy successful spells with the Bundesliga outfit.
Gittens’ current contract at the Westfalenstadion runs through to June 2028.
