Arsenal put four players up for sale after Champions League final defeat

Arsenal are open to offers for at least four title winners as they look to revamp Mikel Arteta’s squad during the summer transfer window.

Decision-makers at the Emirates Stadium have turned their attentions to the transfer market after a mixed end to the season.

Arteta successfully guided Arsenal to their first Premier League title since 2004, finishing seven points above Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

Arsenal were dreaming of a stunning double ahead of their Champions League final against PSG but suffered a heartbreaking defeat on penalties.

The Arsenal squad was crestfallen after the painful loss in Budapest but lifted their spirits with a Premier League trophy parade in north London on Sunday.

Now the 2025-26 season has been put to bed, Arsenal will fully focus on the summer transfer window and a chance to bolster Arteta’s squad even further.

At least four new signings are expected to arrive at the Emirates Stadium, with Arteta keen to welcome a new striker, left-winger, central midfielder and right-back to the club.

Several current players are also being linked with moves away from Arsenal and the Daily Mail say Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Jesus and Ben White could all leave.

Martinelli is Arsenal’s longest-serving player, having made 278 appearances for the Gunners since his first-team debut in 2019.

The Brazilian was mainly a back-up player this season, however, and started just 11 Premier League games.

Trossard enjoyed a better campaign but a number of pundits still believe a new left-winger should be signed, with PSG’s Bradley Barcola a possible target.

England international White only started to feature regularly this season after Jurrien Timber’s injury and suffered a setback himself that ruled him out of the final few weeks of the campaign and this summer’s World Cup.

Jesus, meanwhile, has slipped down the pecking order at Arsenal following his persistent injury issues and his game-time will only reduce if the club do bring in a new striker.

Piero Hincapie, who started the Champions League final, has emerged as a target for Barcelona but Arsenal will likely rebuff approaches for the defender.

Arsenal signed Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen last summer on an initial loan but have the option to make the deal permanent and are expected to do so.

Discussing Arsenal’s transfer plans after the Gunners were crowned Premier League champions, Josh Kroenke said: ‘The business never stops. Right now there are already other teams who are trying to strengthen and come at us for next season.

‘We need to be aware of that. We’ve already had a few different conversations about different areas where we think we can improve on and off the pitch.

‘I am looking forward to getting that going this summer but it’s going to be an interesting one because of the World Cup but fortunately everyone is coming to the United States so I don’t have to travel.’

Arsenal’s targets ahead of the summer transfer window include Julian Alvarez, Morgan Rogers and Eli Junior Kroupi.
