Arsenal are close to agreeing on the departure of both Fabio Vieira and Sami Albert Lokonga to German club Hamburg, according to reports.

Arsenal have been aggressive in the summer transfer window as they look to equip Mikel Arteta with a squad capable of finally winning the Premier League.

The Gunners have spent over £200million on seven high-profile signings, including Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze, Noni Madueke, and Martin Zubimendi.

And there could still be one further incoming for Arsenal on deadline day, with the club hopeful of securing a deal to sign Piero Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen.

The versatile defender is expected to join on an initial loan with an option to make the deal permanent next summer for a fee of £45million (€52m).

However, the focus now for Arsenal is on outgoings on the final day of the transfer window.

Hincapie’s arrival comes as Jakub Kiwior seals his move to Porto on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy next summer.

And according to Sky Germany, two more Arsenal players – Vieira and Lokonga – are also set to leave the club on deadline day, with both joining newly-promoted Bundesliga side Hamburg.

Lokonga has spent the last two and a half years away from the Emirates on loan, with spells at Crystal Palace, Luton Town and Sevilla.

The Belgian will leave on a permanent deal having arrived from Anderlecht for a fee of around £17m back in 2021.

Vieira, meanwhile, is said to have agreed a loan deal with an option to buy worth more than €20m (£17.3m).

The Portuguese midfielder joined the Gunners from Porto three years ago in a £32 million deal, but made just 33 league appearances for Arsenal.

A series of injuries also stifled the playmaker’s progress, and he will now move to Germany after spending last season back on loan at his former club.
