Steph Curry had a couple of special guests on the sidelines in the Golden State Warriors‘ season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers. His wife, Ayesha Curry, and eldest daughter, Riley Curry, were at Crypto.com to support him.
In a post on Instagram after the Warriors’ 119-109 win over the Lakers, Ayesha dropped a short but sweet message for Steph. She couldn’t believe that her husband is already in his 17th season in the NBA.
Ayesha also shared a couple of selfies with Riley, who first went viral for accompanying Steph in his postgame press conferences in the 2015 NBA playoffs.
“Took the big girl to go see Choochie get his first win of the season! We love you @stephencurry30 . Year 17 howwwwwww?! Beyond proud,” Ayesha wrote.
While Ayesha’s post was about Steph’s 17th season in the NBA, some fans in the comments section thought that it was Riley’s 17th birthday. They couldn’t believe how quick she has grown, making them feel old, while others even dropped birthday messages.
“17? I know that ain’t Riley? Already? We getting old y’all,” a fan wrote.
“Ain’t no way she’s 17. I just seen that video of her on her daddy’s lap in the interview!” another fan remarked.
“Wow 17 is insane,” one fan commented.
“Happy Birthday Beautiful,” another user wrote.
“No way 17 already time flies!” a follower mentioned.

Riley is actually just 13 years old, and her birthday is on July 19. Nevertheless, time really flies fast since her viral moments with Steph was a decade ago. Since then, the Warriors won three more championships in 2017, 2018 and 2022.
Steph’s Cherishes Moment with Riley
After dropping 23 points in the Golden State Warriors’ win over the Los Angeles Lakers, Steph Curry spoke at the postgame press conference. Curry was asked about his moment with Riley Curry during his pregame routine. Riley assisted in Steph’s final shot before going back to the locker to prepare for the game.
“My wife and my daughter are here. It’s weird because when my dad retired, I was the same age Riley is now, so it’s kind of a full circle knowing the experiences I had as a kid watching and getting to relive that as a dad now. So it’s pretty special that me and (Ayesha) get to, (Riley) got spoiled. A little solo trip, so it was fun,” Curry said, via NBC Sports Bay Area.
Steph and Ayesha have three other children, another daughter, Ryan, and two sons named Canon and Caius.
