Quarterback Caleb Williams led the team down the field for a game-tying touchdown drive, and after the defense forced a stop on the first possession of overtime, the second-year quarterback found D.J. Moore on a beautiful 46-yard touchdown pass that ended the game.
What Johnson has managed to do in his first year as Chicago’s head coach has been downright spectacular, and while the players deserve their fair share of the credit, it’s hard to miss his impact on the team. Johnson’s postgame speeches after the Bears’ wins have quickly become a staple, and sure enough, he quickly went viral on social media for his message in the wake of this team’s win.
“Let me tell you something right now, this is a special group,” Johnson said immediately following the Bears’ win. “This doesn’t happen everywhere, gentlemen. Where we are right now, what you guys are doing, it’s no fluke. You are mentally tough, you are physically tough, and you fight all 60 minutes. Hell of a job.”
Bears Have NFC North Crown in Their Sights

The importance of this win for the Bears simply cannot be overstated. With two games left in the regular season, if Chicago manages to win just one of them, it will wrap up the division. Even if it is unable to do that, the Packers and the Detroit Lions would have to win out to even have a shot at winning the division at this stage of the game.
Difficult contests against the San Francisco 49ers and the Lions loom for the Bears, but this team has proven that it can win, no matter who their opponent is. With this win in the books, Chicago will shift its attention to Week 17, where it will square off against San Francisco on Sunday Night Football.
