There has been plenty of chatter about the role Bill Belichick’s girlfriend Jordon Hudson is playing for the North Carolina football program. Belichick attempted to set the record straight on Hudson’s involvement while praising his girlfriend’s help with some of the business aspects of his role.
“She’s been terrific through the whole process,” Belichick told “Good Morning America,” per Fox Business. “She’s been very helpful to me. She does the business things that don’t relate to North Carolina that come up in my life so I can concentrate in football, and that’s what I want to do.
“I acknowledged her in the book, she was very helpful in the tribute pages, and giving a perspective of the book from a business side. Sometimes, I get a little football technical, so she did a good job of keeping me on balance there.”

There Is a 49-Year Age Gap Between Bill Belichick & Girlfriend Jordon Hudson
There is quite the age difference between Belichick and Hudson. The couple is separated by 49 years as Belichick is 73 years old, while Hudson is 24 years old.
Hudson and Belichick appear to be able to laugh at the age difference. Back in May, Hudson posted a tongue in cheek joke about the age difference.
“Old Bay with my old bae,” Hudson noted in a May 21, 2025, Instagram message featuring a photo of Old Bay seasoning as the couple sat with a view of the water.

The couple has preferred not to talk about the details of their relationship. Back in April, Hudson went viral for interrupting Belichick’s “CBS Sunday Morning” interview after the Tar Heels coach was asked how the couple met. Hudson and Belichick have maintained that they met during a flight.
“Ms. Hudson and Mr. Belichick met in 2021 when they were seated next to each other on a flight to Palm Beach,” The New York Times’ Scott Cacciola wrote in an April 28, story titled, “Belichick Defends Girlfriend After Awkward Interview.”
“They were first spotted together in 2023, and their rumored romance later became official after Mr. Belichick’s split from his longtime girlfriend, Linda Holliday.”

There is some debate on the relationship timeline for Belichick and ex-girlfriend Linda Holliday. People.com reported that the former couple split in September 2022, much earlier than the breakup was announced. Belichick was with Holliday prior to dating Hudson.
“… They were broken up by September 2022,” a source told People.com’s Natasha Dye in a June 28, story titled, “Bill Belichick Split with Linda Holliday 1 Year Before Breakup Was Confirmed and Coach Started Seeing Jordon Hudson (Exclusive Source).”
“Linda was still pretending they were together after the breakup, and Bill played along so she could transition with the least amount of public humiliation and avoid abrupt displacement. Bill moved into a hotel nearby Gillette Stadium in September and allowed Linda to continue to stay in his homes,”
