Bills’ Ex Amari Cooper Draws Potential Landing Spot Amidst Free Agency

During last season, the Buffalo Bills made a move that sent Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper to Buffalo.

The Bills were desperate to land a true No. 1 wide receiver to pair with Josh Allen, but Cooper never turned into the guy he was supposed to be.

In eight games in Buffalo, Cooper only recorded 20 receptions for 297 yards and two scores.

Before Cooper was traded to the Bills, he played in six games for the Browns in 2024, recording 24 receptions for 250 yards and two scores.

Cooper was dropping passes and looked disinterested in playing for the Browns, which could be attributed to the poor quarterback play the team had been experiencing. It could also be because Cooper was frequently mentioned in trade rumors all offseason.

However, Cooper didn’t return to his old self when he headed to Buffalo, and now he is a free agent heading into training camp.

Buffalo decided to go in a different direction this offseason and not bring Cooper back, but a few teams out there could be looking to add the former Bills receiver.

Amari Cooper Could Land In Arizona

Kristopher Knox from Bleacher Report thinks the Arizona Cardinals should be interested in adding Cooper to their roster.

“Whether the Cardinals eye the trade market or consider free agents like Amari Cooper and Gabe Davis, they should find a way to add competition before camp, Knox wrote.”

The Cardinals should consider adding Cooper to their roster and see what he can bring to their team.

Arizona has one of the best young receivers in the NFL in Marvin Harrison Jr., but the team could use veteran help to show him the league.

There is a zero chance that Cooper will return to the Bills this fall, and it’s probably for the best.

Bills Have Receivers Ready To Step Up

The Bills have two solid young receivers in Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman, and both should be getting the most reps possible.

Buffalo is going to go as far as their young players take them, and Shakir and Coleman could take the team to another level this season if both of them turn out to be stars.

Buffalo should be one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl this season, and Allen could also try to win his second league Most Valuable Player Award.

Both Shakir and Coleman will have to play key roles for Buffalo to win their first Super Bowl and to help Allen win his second league MVP.

It appears that Buffalo’s front office is high on the young receivers, as the team has only brought in select receivers, such as Josh Palmer and Elijah Moore, and neither has made a significant impact.

Moore played with Cooper while they were members of the Browns, so maybe he will reach out to Cooper and ask him what it is like to play with one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.
