It’s Chiefs week for the Buffalo Bills, meaning a showdown is coming up on Sunday afternoon against their biggest rivals in the AFC. Kansas City got off to a slow start this season due to some injuries on offense, but they’re starting to hit their stride as we approach the midway point of the NFL season. Meanwhile, the Bills got off to a hot start before losing two straight, though they rebounded with a win over the Panthers last week.
The Bills are home underdogs for the second time this season. Back in Week 1, the Ravens were favored on the road in Orchard Park, a game in which the Bills erased a 15-point deficit in the final four minutes to capture a one-point win on a walk-off field goal.
This week’s game against the Chiefs is just the third regular-season game Buffalo has been a home underdog since the 2020 season. Besides Week 1’s win over Baltimore, the other time was back in 2021, late in the season against the Dolphins, a game the Bills also won.
The Buffalo Bills Announce Where They Will Hold Training Camp for the Next Few Years

While all the hubbub about the Chiefs game carries on, the Bills organization still has other responsibilities and details to work out. On Thursday, Buffalo announced they had renewed their contract with St. John Fisher University to hold training camp there through the 2028-2029 season. The contract extension holds for the next three summers: 2026, 2027, and 2028.
“We really enjoy the setup there,” Bills GM Brandon Beane said via the team’s website. We think it’s important to our team. Even though it’s a dying breed of teams that like to go away, and we love our facilities here, we feel it provides such an important element of team chemistry, bonding, a real focus for everyone for how to prepare our team for a long season. They do such a great job for us. The staff is excellent there. It’s a nice change of scenery to fire you up for the season.”
St. John Fisher University is located in Rochester, about an hour and a half drive from Buffalo. As Beane said, most teams hold their training camps in close proximity to their home stadiums, but the Bills have been traveling to Rochester every summer for the last 25 years.
The Buffalo Bills Offense is Elite
Stop me if you’ve heard this before: the Bills have one of the best offenses in the league behind MVP QB Josh Allen. Buffalo ranks third in the NFL in total offense, fourth in points per game, and first in rushing offense.
That last number might come as a surprise, but the Bills have one of the NFL’s best rushing attacks this season. RB James Cook has been sensational, and his emergence has taken a lot of pressure off of Allen’s arm. Now the Bills are truly a two-dimensional attack, making them that much harder to stop.
