Bills Predicted to Add 2,120-Yard WR For Josh Allen in 2026

The Bills secured an impressive 42-33 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, keeping Buffalo in contention for the playoffs. While the Bills aim for a deep playoff run this season, they should also focus on improving for next year, and one key avenue for that is through the 2026 NFL Draft.

Bills Predicted to Draft WR For Josh Allen

Buffalo should consider drafting another wide receiver to support quarterback Josh Allen. Keith Sanchez from The Draft Network predicted the Bills to draft Chris Bell, a wide receiver from Louisville.

“The Buffalo Bills had an offensive explosion on Sunday, as Josh Allen showed why he may be the best quarterback in the NFL,” Sanchez wrote on Sunday.  “He did all of this without Keon Coleman in the game. Allen and Coleman, for whatever reason, have not found a consistent rhythm yet in their careers, and it may be time to add another young piece to this receiver room. With this pick, the Bills select Louisville receiver Chris Bell.”

Bell is currently in his fourth season at Louisville, where he has achieved impressive stats with 67 receptions for 871 yards and six touchdowns this year. Over his four-year career, he has totaled 146 receptions for 2,120 yards and has scored 12 touchdowns.

The Athletic’s draft analyst, Dane Brugler, recently published his new top 50 prospects heading into the NFL Draft, and has Bell as his No. 31 overall prospect.

“Although he is still fine-tuning the details of playing wide receiver, Bell is a rocked-up, 227-pound athlete with explosive 4.4 speed, Brugler wrote on Tuesday. “It will take more time for him to realize his immense potential, but his size and run-after-catch ability are the main selling points on his scouting report.”

Keon Coleman Was Out on Sunday

The Bills need to add another wide receiver, especially considering what’s going on with second-year player Keon Coleman.

Before the game on Sunday, the Bills announced that Coleman would not be playing due to arriving late to a team meeting on Friday. Head coach Sean McDermott explained his decision not to include him in the lineup.

That was my decision,McDermott said, via video from Alex Brasky of SBnation. It is disappointing, but I still believe in the young man. We get to a certain point, and I’ve got to do something. I try and give the guys a kind of a strike approach.Hey, you get a chance to show your teammates that’s not really who you are. When it happens again, then I step in. I believe he will learn from it. He takes it seriously. He will move forward in a way of growing from this, and that’s the whole goal.”

Coleman was expected to be the Bills’ next standout receiver after the team selected him in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft. However, he has yet to meet expectations, managing to record only 330 yards and three touchdowns over nine games this season.

The Bills will need better production from Coleman if they hope to come through in the clutch; otherwise, their chances of reaching the Super Bowl will fall short.
