Bills QB Josh Allen Announces Health News After Browns Injury

The Buffalo Bills had a scare on Sunday, December 21, when the team lost their franchise quarterback, Josh Allen, late in the first half. Allen was injured during a play before halftime, which caused an injury to his right ankle that took him off the field.

As for the injury, at the time, Allen was busy in Buffalo’s backfield and almost took a safety. Browns pass rusher Myles Garrett was catching up to him, so Allen fell near the goal line and moved his ankle as if he was injured. From there, the quarterback limped to the side of the field and met with trainers in the Bills’ bench area. He left to go to the locker room but didn’t have to go into the medical tent, indicating it wasn’t a serious injury.

Minutes later, the Buffalo Bills announced that Allen was cleared to come back into the game. “QB Josh Allen had X-rays on his foot and has been cleared to return,” they stated on X, to the relief of Bills viewers everywhere.

The Bills closed out the game against the Browns with a 23-20 final score, and Allen played in the second half. Following the game, he opened up about that incident and how his ankle is feeling now.

After the win, Allen spoke with the media about the moment. On the sideline, he was asked by Evan Washburn if his foot was feeling well. “We’re gravy, baby,” he simply said.

In the postgame press conference, Allen was also asked if the injury impacted him in the second half of the game. “No, I don’t think so,” he said. Allen also brushed off the injury, stating, “I just tweaked my foot a little bit.”

So, Allen is saying that all is well, and he’s good to go for the rest of the team’s season and postseason. The Bills’ win moved them to a 11-4 record for the season. They can clinch a playoff spot on Sunday, December 21, or Monday, December 22, if the Houston Texans or Indianapolis Colts lose in their respective games, according to NFL research.

Also, after the incident on the field, David J. Chao, the Pro Football Doc, weighed in on the injury from a medical standpoint. “Josh Allen was cleared to return. By video, there was no significant injury to his right foot. When defense is on the field, and there are only a few seconds, it’s common for players to go to the locker room.”

Josh Allen Makes History in Buffalo Bills Win Over Browns

Allen had a big game against the Browns, and as usual, he made NFL history. During the showdown, Allen set a record in the NFL by winning the 89th game of his career.

With the Buffalo Bills’ win over the Browns, Allen has now tied Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs for the most quarterback wins in a quarterback’s first eight NFL seasons.

So, it appears this is the year for the Bills. They won’t even go up against the Kansas City Chiefs in the postseason, because the Chiefs have been eliminated from the playoffs.
