The Buffalo Bills have one goal this season, and that’s to win the Super Bowl.
With Bills quarterback Josh Allen at the helm, no one doubts Buffalo could be the team that ultimately raises the Lombardi Trophy. While Allen couldn’t be prouder to win the AP’s Most Valuable Player of the Year award last season, “I’d trade 10 of them for a ring,” he told CBS Sports.
“I think we just received the trophy,” Allen said. “It’s in a box in my house. I couldn’t tell you where it’s at. It’s such a cool honor. My speech talked about how it’s a team award more than an individual award. But it’s over and on to the next.”
Allen returned to practice this offseason after marrying actress Hailee Steinfeld. At their wedding, he rocked the same facial hair that he sported during the 2024 season and at the NFL Honors in February — a tried and true look for the Bills star.
The Wyoming alum also posed for his 2025 team portraits and debuted the Bills’ long-awaited red helmets with the same facial hair. However, the 29-year-old quarterback showed up at St. John Fisher University with an all-new look on Wednesday, August 6.

The Bills’ official social media account posted photos of Allen’s new look and wrote, “Stache season.” While Allen can do no wrong in Bills Mafia’s eyes, they still had jokes for their franchise star’s new facial hair.
Former Bills center Mitch Morse commented on Instagram, “That’s a married man if I’ve ever seen one. Watch him go bald soon. A fan added, “We’re watching him evolve into Dad Josh before our very eyes.” One woman tagged Steinfeld and wrote, “congratulations.”
The photos drew attention on X as well. One man asked, “when did you guys sign Benson Boone!?” One person wrote, “Okay Magnum PI.” Another fan joked, “Gardner Minshew ECU legend 😎😎😎.”
While some online users hope Allen keeps the new look, others hope it’s gone by Week 1. One person wrote on Instagram, “The man that can make anything look good as hell 🔥.” One woman commented, “Please. Shave it. I love him so much. But that’s not the look for the handsomest quarterback in the league.”

While Allen has a lot to celebrate both personally and professionally, being unable to reach the Super Bowl weighs heavily on the 6-foot-5 quarterback
“We are constantly telling ourselves that we still haven’t got there yet. We haven’t accomplished what we set out to do. We’ve had good teams, but for whatever reason, we have not done it,” Allen told CBS Sports.
“We are determined to turn over every stone and leaf to find those answers. I think the older I’ve gotten, the quicker I get over the loss at the end. But it’s never easy. I keep telling myself to trust God’s timing because it’s never wrong. It’s no different in this case. The only thing we can do is give ourselves another opportunity to get there.”
