The Buffalo Bills pulled off a stunning comeback win Sunday night, scoring 16 points over the final 3:56 to beat the Baltimore Ravens 41-40 in a clash of AFC heavyweights.
Reigning NFL MVP Josh Allen capped the dramatic victory by orchestrating a nine-play, 66-yard drive that culminated with Matt Prater drilling a 32-yard field goal as time expired.

What unfolded at Highmark Stadium was hard to believe, even for those in the thick of the action.
âIâm still floating,â rookie tight end Jackson Hawes said, via Syracuse.comâs Matt Parrino. âEveryone rushed the field there at the end, but I just stood there. I was in shock.â
Hawes, a fifth-round pick (173rd overall) from Georgia Tech, made one of the most important plays in the game.
Hawesâ Catch Came at Opportune Time
Hawes had just one catch in his NFL debut, but it was a big one. His 29-yard grab with 3:06 left set the Bills up at the Ravensâ 1-yard line. Three plays later, Allen scored on a quarterback sneak to pull the Bills closer at 40-38.
The Bills failed to complete the ensuing two-point conversion but got the ball back after Baltimore went three-and-out on its next possession.
Allen was a perfect 4-for-4 on the game-deciding drive, connecting with four different receivers for a total of 71 yards. His final pass of the day went for 25 yards to Keon Coleman down to the Ravensâ 9, positioning Prater for what amounted to a chip shot.
Allen finished 33-of-46 for 394 yards and two touchdowns through the air. He also ran for 30 yards and two scores.
Billsâ Comeback Was One for the Ages
Hawes had good reason to be in shock. Buffaloâs comeback was one for the ages.
According to NFL Next Gen Stats, the Billsâ probability of winning dropped as low as 1.1% with 8:37 remaining and Baltimore ahead 40-25.
Furthermore, it was the Billsâ unlikeliest comeback with Allen at quarterback and the 13th-most improbable comeback by any team over the last decade.
The Bills became just the fourth team since 2000 to win after trailing by 15 points in the final four minutes. Per ESPN, teams are just 4-2,132 in such scenarios.
âIâm sure people are going to wake up â some Buffalonians maybe, and maybe people just around the country â and be like, âWait, that happened?ââ Bills head coach Sean McDermott said, via The Athletic. âPeople will talk about it for a long time.â
