In Week 4, the Bills will draw another favorable matchup against the New Orleans Saints, who were just blown out of the water by the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3 by a score of 44-13.

The Bills entered the 2025 campaign with the expectation that they would be one of the top teams in the NFL. Sure enough, that has been the case through three weeks, as Buffalo staged a late rally against Baltimore in Week 1 before comfortably taking down New York and Miami in their next two games.
On paper, the Bills’ matchup with the Saints is a huge mismatch. New Orleans has holes all over their roster, which the Seahawks exposed frequently in Week 3. Considering how Buffalo is widely believed to be a better team than them, that means this game could get ugly if they come out and play their brand of football from the get-go.
And yet, Dawkins is doing his best to make sure that this game doesn’t get overlooked. When asked about this meeting with the Saints, Dawkins cited the last time they came to Buffalo, which was all the way back in his rookie season in 2017. New Orleans picked up a blowout 47-10 victory in that contest, and nearly eight years later, Dawkins made it clear he’s looking for revenge.
“We lost to the Saints the last time they played here,” Dawkins said on Thursday. “I don’t forget stuff like that, not that that’s about to make us play harder, but that’s in our heads, and regardless of the last names that changed, the logo is still the same. The last time they came to our home field, they beat us, so it’s time for us to restamp that and let that be a win. That’s the mindset.”

It may seem very irrelevant considering how long ago this game was, but Dawkins doesn’t forget losses, especially when they come in such a lopsided manner. The tables have turned considerably now, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Bills beat the Saints by a similar score when these two sides take the field.
With some unexpected motivation and an incredibly talented roster, there’s no reason to bet against Buffalo in Week 4. They are a significantly better team than New Orleans, and even if they don’t play their best game, they should still be able to come out on top. Dawkins is doing his best not to look past this team, and you can bet the Bills will be looking to run the Saints ragged when this game kicks off at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon.
