The Denver Broncos are getting reinforcements for the stretch run of what has already been a strong season. After showing interest on Monday and drawing attention to themselves because of it, the Broncos are signing Elijah Moore.
Moore has played this season, so he is in game shape.
Several hurdles remain before Moore can take the field for the Broncos in a game this season, but he is officially in the building.
Broncos Sign Former Browns WR Elijah Moore

“Veteran WR Elijah Moore is signing to the Broncos practice squad, per source,” NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported on X on December 2. “Now on his fourth team in five NFL seasons, Moore has 209 career catches for 2,274 yards and nine TDs.
“Elijah Moore had 8 catches for 111 yards on 14 targets in a loss to Denver last Dec. 2. Exactly one year later, he’s a Bronco.”
Moore, 25, was the No. 34 overall pick by the New York Jets in the 2021 draft.
He was with the Buffalo Bills this season and has also spent time with the Cleveland Browns in 2023 and 2024. Like his visit, Moore’s signing with the Broncos drew plenty of attention locally and nationally.
Moore has a 9-112-0 line this season, appearing in nine games with the Bills, who cut him to sign Brandin Cooks.
Now, Moore lands in Denver with the Broncos for a stretch run.
Elijah Moore ‘Reinforcements’ for Bo Nix

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler noted in a post on X on December 2 that the speedster is “reinforcements” for Broncos quarterback Bo Nix.
The Denver Post’s Luca Evans called Moore “insurance” for Marvin Mims and Troy Franklin.
“Broncos coach Sean Payton has continuously expressed confidence in his receiver group, though Denver has tinkered with the mix in recent weeks. The Broncos released veteran Trent Sherfield last month and signed Lil’Jordan Humphrey off of the New York Giants’ practice squad,” The Denver Post’s Parker Gabriel wrote on December 2.
“Moore, if nothing else, will attempt to get up to speed quickly in Denver and serve as veteran depth in case of an injury in the group. When he’s at his best, though, he’s a versatile playmaker. The Broncos saw that up close a year ago.”
Evans later noted that Moore was a “big piece” for the Browns during his stay, but also that the Broncos must make a corresponding move to create space for the veteran wideout.
The Broncos also have rookie Pat Bryant, but Moore obviously offers more experience.
Nik Bonitto Sends Message After Broncos Sign Elijah Moore

The move reunites Moore with Broncos outside linebacker Nik Bonitto, a Pro Bowler and Second Team All-Pro in 2024. The two were high school teammates in Florida and are on the same sidelines once again in Denver.
Bonitto previously showed support for Moore following the latter’s release from the Bills, and he appears excited about playing together again.
“My dawg! [face with sunglasses emoji],” Bonitto posted on X on December 2.
Bonitto, who was teammates with Mims in college at Oklahoma, and the defense have buoyed the Broncos as the offense attempts to operate more consistently, and Mims presents an option to alleviate some of the pressure on Courtland Sutton.
