Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix is entering Year 2, and his leadership skills on and off the field have been evident. According to Nix, his ability to succeed up to and into this level is because he has his “priorities in order.”
Nix relayed as much in a new ad for clothing brand Mizzen + Main’s “Bo’s Favorites” collection.
The ad features Nix surrounded by his father, Patrick, and brothers Caleb, a safety at Clemson, and Tez Johnson, a receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
“There’s a lot more to life than football,” Nix said in the ad shared to X on June 19, recalling a conversation with his wife, Izzy. “I know where my joy and my foundation – I know where everything goes to, and that’s Jesus. And that’s one thing you [Patrick Nix] taught us early. But eventually, you gotta have that realization as yourself. And you can’t – I can’t carry around your faith my whole entire life. One day, it just hit me: If you put all this in football, it’ll beat you down. It’ll make you miserable, and you just won’t be the person, the person that you’re supposed to be. I won’t be who I am without the game of football.
“I didn’t want to be that. So, I learned how to play a lot more free, and it became a lot more fun. And I do think, after that, I’ve been better at the game of football and better in the game of life, because I have my priorities straight.”
Nix’s exposure off the field reinforces sentiments that his Broncos coaches and teammates have expressed since his arrival and his growth this offseason.
His comments underscore how much his faith has formed his resolve.
Bo Nix Delivered on Rookie Season Goal
GettyFormer Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning talks to Bo Nix #10 before a game against the Indianapolis Colts.
This is the third spot Nix has shared in his partnership with Mizzen + Main, which began with one just before the Broncos’ QB made his regular-season debut last season. In his first spot, Nix expressed excitement about his rookie year and wanting to make his mark.
He certainly did that.
“I’m really excited about the upcoming season. I know there’s going to be a lot of changes, a lot of growth. But I’m really excited to look forward to what this opportunity has to offer, besides being on a new team in a new place. Can’t wait to get started,” Nix said in that first ad in September 2024.
“There’s a lot of greats that have played for this organization. [I] just want to go out there and uphold their legacy, and continue to move this organization forward.”
The second ad was simply a two-shot spread in February, following a record-setting season for Nix, who led the Broncos to their first playoff berth since Peyton Manning retired following the Super Bowl-winning 2015 season.
Bo Nix Looking to Build Off Rookie Success With Broncos

Nix completed 66.3% of his passes for 3,775 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. He added another 430 yards and 4 TDs on 92 rushing attempts.
This offseason, the Broncos added veteran weapons to the passing attack and backfield in Evan Engram and J.K. Dobbins, respectively. They also added several playmakers in the 2025 draft and bolstered their top-flight defense similarly.
Most encouragingly for the Broncos, Nix is as motivated as ever.
“I haven’t done anything up until this point, and I got a lot to prove, a lot to show,” Nix told reporters in May, noting conversations with a friend on the Broncos.
“Every day, it’s working. Every day, it’s finding a way to get better. Because you don’t want to get to Year 2 or go down the road, and all of a sudden, you got stuck and didn’t get any better. So, that’s my focus right now, is just [I’m] not even worried about what people are saying. Just, internally, I know I got a long way to go.”
