Browns Insider Makes Firm Stance on Future of Kevin Stefanski

The Cleveland Browns suffered a disappointing 27-20 road loss to the New York Jets on Sunday.

It was a lackluster performance from the Browns, and after the game, insider Tony Rizzo of ESPN Cleveland made his stance clear on the future of Kevin Stefanski. Rizzo believes Stefanski has to be fired as he can’t continue as the Browns’ head coach.

“Come out of the bye week and that is what you produce? Folks, goodbye,” Rizzo said on ESPN Cleveland. “Goodbye, gonezo. If there was any doubt that the coaching staff was coming back, all you had to do was watch yesterday’s game.”

Rizzo believes Stefanski should be fired at the end of the season, if not during the year, as it’s clear he can’t be the coach of the Browns anymore.

The insider also believes the Browns are the most poorly coached team in the NFL. He also believes Stefanski needs to take full blame for how bad the team was after a bye week.

“I’m over it, I’m over everything. You are 2-7; it’s the most poorly coached team in the league,” Rizzo said. “Penalties, turnovers, poor special teams, mistake-filled. They ran the play to draw you offside, and you got drawn offside. High schools are laughing at you, Kevin Stefanski has to wear this, it’s on him, his team is so poorly coached.”

Stefanski is 42-51 as the Browns head coach.

Stefanski Opens up on the Browns Loss to Jets

After Cleveland’s disappointing loss to the Jets, Stefanski opened up on the defeat.

The game practically ended on Cleveland’s defense jumping offside, which was a disappointing ending. However, Stefanski said the game is 60 minutes, and the team needs to play a full 60 minutes.

“It’s easy to look at the end of that ballgame and we will and we will certainly be transparent with each other, but it’s a 60-minute football game and we’ve got to do our job for 60 minutes,” Stefanski said postgame on Sunday.

In the loss, the Browns gave up a kick return and punt return touchdown as all facets of the game were an issue.

So, after another frustrating loss for the Browns, there have been calls for Stefanski to be fired.

Cleveland will return to the field at home against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Fans Call for Stefanski to be Fired

Following the disappointing 27-20 loss to the Jets on Sunday, Browns fans called for Stefanski to be fired.

It was a frustrating performance from the Browns, and fans made it clear the team needs to make significant changes.

“Fire Stefanski, it’s over. We just lost to a garbage fire on silly mistakes and bad special teams. Bench Gabriel and let’s see what Shedeur has the rest of the way,” a fan said.

“Browns fans need to literally make a statement and Protest until they Fire Stefanski. There’s no way he should still have a Job,” a fan wrote.

“Fire Stefanski now or I am leaving as a fan!!! Many others will follow!,” another fan said.

Stefanski has been the Browns’ head coach since 2020 and has led the team to the playoffs twice.
